A decade ago, my name was inextricably linked with what was then called the “Alt Right.” By 2015, of course, the Alt-Right hadn’t yet reached its peak of cultural notoriety. This was a year before Hillary Clinton made her historic anti-Alt Right speech, and two years before the tragic and appalling fiasco that was the aborted Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally, in the aftermath of which the Alt-Right attendees were collectively scapegoated by the execrable Lugenpresse, even though the aggressors at the event were exclusively the antifa, as any honest eyewitness, including myself, would be able to tell you.
I have the reputation of being a bit of a “contrarian,” for better or for worse. At the time, when the Alt-Right was growing in influence, I recorded a Soundcloud broadcast wherein I criticized three predominant presuppositions of those disposed to Alt-Right adherence: 1) a mistaken impression concerning World War 2 and its aftermath, 2) a shallow and disingenuous take on Christianity and its cultural influence, and finally, 3) a dismissive attitude towards what they sniffingly called “sportsball.”
